SLINGERLAND DRUMS are history in the making.Henry H. Slingerland started The Slingerland company in Chicago in 1916.In the 50`s the company took up with DRUMMER greats like Buddy Rich, Louis Bellson and Gene Krupa.At that time and still now are the best high quality drum sets out there.They were known also for there brilliant finish such as the marine and black pearl finishes.By the late 50`s Ludwig came on to the scene for the booming rock musician.


Despite losing a lot of sales in the 1960`s Slingerland were still considered the best QUALITY DRUM makers on the market.By the 1970`s they added new features to their drum kits igniting their sales once more.The 1980`s came around and drum makers from japan came on the scene and the slinger name was bought out by Gretsch.Gretsch never promoted the slinger brand.


The name came back in 1994 when Gibson bought the name.Till this day Gibson Manufactures Slingerland drums from Nashville, Tennessee were there pruduction line is based.Slingerland Drums are very much still the best drum kits on the market.The history still continues till this day creating beautiful music.
